About Dexter
Hi, my name's Dexter! Im a very sweet and loving young boy with a world of manners. I like to show off how polite I am and sit before you ask me to for food, and wait for the go ahead before I dive in. I take my time so much that I like to sit or lie down when I eat. I love everyone and haven't met another doggy or human that I didn't want to play with and cuddle. I'm fully house trained and come on command, mostly because I think it means playtime, cuddles or FOOD! I'm a big sook and will sit and cuddle with you for as long as you want. I give my foster sister everything she wants as I really don't like confrontation and I don't like being in trouble so I try really hard to be a good boy. My favourite thing to do is play fetch in the ocean, I'm a great swimmer and I love paddling around diving and dunking my whole head in for the ball and will bring it back to you every time! When my foster sister and I go to the park to play ball, I like to get right down low on the ground, wait for her to bring the ball back, and then pounce! As she comes by. All the humans laugh. Squeaky toys don't last very long with me. I squeak and squeak them until a bodypart falls off but I do love them. I'm still learning the art of walking with this lead thing they put on me, but after a few minutes of sniffing, I get the idea and will walk nicely. I just get so excited to be exploring new places. I have a good amount of puppy energy but I'm not crazy, so I'll need daily playtime out in the open be it at the park or beach or going for a walk. Some things I don't like - being left alone. I like having a friend so I don't get up to mischief. The rain makes me cold so I'll prefer to be inside at night with you and have shelter through the day. I have a big loving personality and just want to please. I'll love you forever, if you do too ❤️ If you believe Dexter is a match for your home please email us for an application at fostersadoptslpr@gmail.com

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks sometimes more, we do a revisit and see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
