About Dusty
D is for darling, delightful and Dusty! This little guy is definitely a delight, his foster carer said it only took him hours to fall in love with him!
Dusty is a young, playful and healthy dog. He adores his toys and has a whole box of fun things that he loves to play with; he especially loves fluffy toys.
Due to no fault of his own, he's been through a few homes in his short life. Dusty's previous owner adopted him through the Logan Pound and loved him dearly. Sadly his own health meant he could no longer care for Dusty, so entrusted us to find him a good home.
Dusty gets along well with other dogs. Like many chihuahua-type dogs, he can be aloof when he first meets new dogs (and new people) however he is very sweet natured and soon warms up and has a play.
Dusty loves a daily walk and he is crossed with a fox terrier, making him bigger than the average chihuahua and a bit more energetic. Dusty is still learning his manners and he does need secure fencing, he is still learning that humans don't enjoy the game of chasing-Dusty-down-the-street after he takes off out the front door! However he's making excellent progress working on his manners with his foster dad and Dusty is overall very sweet, eager to please and food motivated.
Dusty would do fine in a home with older children, he's a sweet boy who enjoys playing with kids.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant x-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
