About Sal (AV1012)
Hi there! I'm Sal! I'm so pleased to meet you.
I love to meet you friends of all shapes and sizes - adults and children, dogs and cats - I get along with everyone.
I'm a really gorgeous, lovely-natured girl who has lots of love to give and energy to share. My ideal home is one where I am included as a real part of the family - taken on fun outings and allowed to hang out inside with you (preferably on your lap or at least next to you on the couch because no one fully explained that I'm not a lap dog!)
In my current home I am living with two other dogs - one of them is my best mate, we love to play all the time so if you have an active, out-going male dog I would love to meet him and make friends. I am also very gentle and friendly with the cat in my home (even though he's old and cranky!) so if you have feline friends we should get on just fine.
It's important to note that I'm a cattle dog through and through - even though I've never actually been used to work cows, generations of breeding and instinct are in me so when I'm excited some of those breed-typical behaviours come through. Have you ever seen a dog my size herd a cow that weighs half a tonne?? We do it by jumping up and nipping at them to get them moving. I'm a very gentle-natured and super friendly girl but sometimes I nip at the heels of other dogs when I'm playing with them - I have never bitten and broken the skin but some dogs don't like this behaviour much so you'll need to supervise me at places like the dog park and beach in case I annoy any other pooches.
I love kids but in all my excitement I might be a bit too much for very small children if they aren't used to dogs - we'll need to test that out too, I guess!
I'm house-trained, know basic commands and can walk on a lead. I am super friendly and will bring so much joy to your home. I need a wonderful family who will exercise me in both body and mind, take me on adventures (the dog park is an adventure, trust me!) and bring me in the house. In return I will reward you with years of love, devotion and hilarious antics.

Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
