About Winston
Winston is a cute little fellow (weighing around 7 kg) with some very winning ways. He is very faithful and loyal, and loves to be near his human, especially enjoying a lap cuddle on the couch with his special person. on a walk he will trot along beside you and always comes when he is called. He prefers to be off lead - on lead he would need a harness we think. Winston would love to cuddle up on the bed but at present has accepted that he sleeps in his own bed. He enjoys his walks as well, but has short legs so he tires after a couple of kilometres. Winston is just a lovely boy who will make a wonderful companion for some lucky person.
This little guy was surrendered to the local Pound in Tennant Creek by his owner when she was leaving town, as she was going interstate and couldn't take him with her. He has lived all his life in a town camp. When he came to us he was very fearful of big dogs, and we have tried hard to make him feel secure. He has really won his foster carer's heart, and charms everyone he meets.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Winston's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. He is currently in foster care in Tennant Creek.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Shipping fees are included in the adoption fee. We ship from Alice Springs airport to interstate homes.
