About Cornetto D3825
Cornetto’s foster carers say, “Our little mate Cornetto, is a pleasure to have in our home. The following dot points describe his personality best:
• strong character
• playful (we have given him plenty of toys to play with)
• energetic (he has no impediment from his missing leg)
• social (can go up to anyone with his tail wagging)
• affectionate (he likes a cuddle that often turns in to play time)
• loyal (he follows us everywhere, and now is being trained to go for a walk on a lead)
• intelligent (he comes when he is called, talks to you when he wants something)
• toilet trained (he will go outside to go to the toilet or let you know to open the door if it is closed.
Although we have had a few little accidents, for the most part he is very good for his age.)
• mischievous (he likes to bite, which is normal for a pup)
• he sleeps in our bedroom in his bed, every night all night, and doesn't wake us
• he has a strong deep bark which he uses to get your attention if he wants a cuddle or
something to eat or go out to play
“He will make a very good member of any family he goes to, giving them lots of fun and laughter.”
Cornetto has a mutated back left leg. He has been checked by the vet and given a clean bill of health. You’ll see he can move with ease as his video shows.😍 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVPCQhIKQ9U
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? Dogs respond well to homes where there the people are calm, assertive and consistent. Cornetto would like daily training so that he can learn and practice the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it; and so he always obeys what you tell him to do. Consistent, clear boundaries will mean that he always know the right way to behave. And of course, socialising with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important too. Getting out and about to exercise at least once a day is vital for dogs as it stimulates their brain and body, creates opportunities for them to socialise and tires them out. It stops them from creating mischief at home!!!! That’s after they’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course! Cornetto is at the puppy teething age now, so tell him “no” if he’s chewing something he shouldn’t and give him a chew toy instead. Puppies like to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so they don’t get bored with them.
I CAN FLY!
A few hours flying is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals if it means they have the opportunity to be adopted. Cornetto’s airfare to Perth is $150 thanks to QANTAS.
