Nugget is a little over one year old and is an energetic young boy with love to give in droves! For this first short year of his life, Nugget has had it pretty rough and he’s now looking for a new family who will love him back just as much as he loves them.
Nugget’s favourite place in the house is wherever you are, he’ll happily chill-out at your feet or rest his head on your leg and he is the perfect size to curl up at the bottom of your bed overnight (if he’s allowed). He is intelligent and understands all the basic commands expected of your furry best friend.
Nugget is toilet trained and does stay inside at night with no issues. He does require some patience out on walks on the leash as he can become anxious and feel threatened, presumably owing to his history however, with continued training and positive encouragement he will learn to become less anxious.
Nugget is very happy either indoors or out and loves playing with his rope and squeaky piggy (parading them around the living room). He would best suit a new home with lots of space and a large garden or outdoor area for him to explore and play in, to vent some his puppy-like energy.
In short, he is cute, playful, full of love, and looking to become some ones best friend and “Golden Nugget”.
Medical notes
Nugget recently went for a health check as well as desexing and the vets found a 1cm lump. It was removed with a large margin and the vets are now confident he will be just fine. Further information about Nugget can be supplied upon request.
Nugget has had the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ C5 Vaccinated
~ Microchipped
~ Heartworm Tested
~ Heartworm Treated
~ All-Wormed
~ Flea Treated
Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
