Reagan

Reagan is a real little darling. She is super sweet and gentle, and friendly to the other dogs in care, but what she really wants is her own human to love and care for her. She is very intelligent and extremely dainty (weighing only 4-5 kg), and has some cute ways about her. For example she can stand on her back legs and wave her paws about, and she jumps up and down with all 4 legs off the ground at the same time when she is excited. While she has a few years on her, she is fit as a fiddle, and has an excellent mouth and dentition. Reagan has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful companion dog in a quiet domestic environment.

Reagan came to us via the Tennant Creek Pound. Her owners knew she was in the Pound, but they were going on holiday and said they didn't have time to pick her up and asked the Animal Welfare Officer to euthanize her. Of course that was never going to happen. Her coat was a mass of dreadlocks though, so we had no choice but to fully clip her. When her coat grown in she will look like a fluffy angel! She will need regular maintenance of her coat as it was really long.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Reagan's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
