Kuma and Marley

Kuma & Marley, the giant teddy-bear like akita duo is still urgently looking for a foster home!

Kuma I male I 9 years old
Marley I female I 7.5 years old

Gorgeous Akita Pair Marley and Kuma are looking for a foster hero to take them as soon as possible.

Marley and Kuma are full of personality, friendly and affectionate. They absolutely love the companion of their family members, and you can tell this by Kuma's big shout out saying "let me in the house human!"

KUMA is just a giant polar bear! Very affectionate, likes to snuggle his big boofa head right in for cuddles. He is playful around other dogs, walks great on lead and is easy to handle, but due to his size and breed a cautious approach around other dogs is required. He just looooves people and especially people who tell him how handsome he is.

MARLEY is slightly more reserved and Akita like than her big brother when meeting strangers, although, it doesn’t take her very long to warm up to you, especially if you bribe her with treats! She is very good around other dogs, non reactive, just not overly interested in hanging out when there are humans to be charmed and cuddled. She is apparently an even bigger smoocher at home than Kuma.

They are also super clever and cheeky akitas... they have been escaping their current property and they have been accumulating frequent flyer points with the local ranger transport service.

The Akita breed is a challenging breed to own, so they do need a home that is familiar and experienced with the Akita breed. They will need to be included as part of the family, and despite their age, they will enjoy their daily walks and will need a fully enclosed yard with sturdy fences and gates to keep them in.

This pair comes from a loving home and have been together since they were pups, hence we will only foster and rehome them as a pair.
