Hi! I”m Maverick and I am such a cutie patootie! I’m loving fosterland since coming to SAFE from the rangers. I am great with their cats. I can be a bit full on with other dogs, so would be best suited to being an only dog. One of my foster carers is a man and I’m so scared of him that I run and hide when he comes home! I know he is nice to me, but he’s going to take a bit of getting used to! I’m learning this new thing called manners so I can get to spend lots of inside time when I get to my new home ;)

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like daily training so that I learn and practice the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it; and so I always obey what you tell me to do. Consistent, clear boundaries will mean that I always know the right way to behave. And of course, socializing with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important too. Getting out and about to exercise at least once a day is vital for me as it stimulates my brain and body, creates opportunities for me to socialise and it tires me out. It will stop me from creating mischief at home!!!! That’s after I’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course!
