About Sammy
Who could walk by a face so animated and a tail so waggy? Sammy the Staffordshire Terrier cross can't help but make people smile with her wonderfully eager approach to life!
Young and lively, Sammy is seeking an energetic family who can offer plenty of adventure and activity. Sammy loves to explore and will happily put her nose to a lush grassy paddock, a leaf-strewn bush path, or the sandy banks of a river. While residing here at the shelter Sammy has been working on her loose leash walking and learning lots of basic skills. Expanding her repertoire of tricks should be easy as this food motivated girl is both clever and attentive. Time for play will help Sammy burn some physical energy, but most important will be plenty of enrichment such as long-lasting treats and puzzle toys to keep her happy and busy, especially while everyone is out of the house. When all of the day's work is done, Sammy would love nothing more than a cosy place on the couch beside you.
Sammy's enthusiastic greetings can be intimidating to the smallest members of the family, so she will do best in a home with older children (over 12 years of age) who can get on board with her ongoing training. As sociable and devoted as she is, Sammy would prefer to be the only canine in the household so that she can soak up all of your attention! If you feel there is a Sammy-sized gap in your heart and home we would love you to visit her at Kemps Creek!
