About Zuki & Tarty
*ON TRIAL*
Zuki:
This beautiful, soft and gentle soul has had a dubious past prior to her previous owner’s acquisition of her. Fortunately she’s had a good few years with them since and has made a best friend along the way. Zuki is best friends with Tarty and they cannot be separated as they rely on each other for security and comfort.
Zuki is a quiet girl who always tries to do the right thing. She loves her chosen person and displays this by gently patting their leg for attention.
Zuki is a miniature poodle who looks just like a fluffy cloud on a spectacular spring day. This also happens to reflect her peaceful and calm personality. She’s a sensitive soul that needs a gentle touch, however, she is not nervy and draws confidence from her soul sister, Tarty.
Tarty:
Tarty is the life of the party and loves to play. I’m sure she thinks she is still a puppy. Tarty has had a charmed life and it shows in her confident demeanour. She is said to be a Pug x Poodle, but has suspiciously Schauzer-like markings.
If you throw a ball for Tarty, despite having a $10,000 bilateral hip replacement, she will run like the wind to pursue it, retrieve it and lay it at your feet expectantly.
She also loves affection and is very human oriented, which is fortunate because she looks like the love child of an Ewok and a Teddy Bear and everyone wants to pat her.
These girls are an absolute delight to have around. Though they love each other, they focus greatly on their owner, who becomes very important to them. They love to go on walks together and are very enthusiastic about it.
Neither of them shed but they have thick curls that need regular grooming. They are both toilet trained and sleep peacefully through the night together.
Both are social with other dogs but would prefer not to have to divide their owner’s attention with any more than just the two of them. They have so much love to give and having lost their beloved owner, they crave being the centre of a loving household once again.

Medical notes
Both girls are fit and healthy and run around like dogs half their age. There are no signs of arthritis. Both these beautiful ladies have also had a full dental scale and polish to renew their adorable smiles.
They do need to lose some weight to increase their longevity.
Adoption details
Please email me a little bit about yourself. I do not operate on a first-in-best-dressed basis. Instead, my aim is to find the most suitable forever home for the animals in my care.
Your email should include details about who lives at your home, both humans and animals and what their daily schedules and living arrangements are like. It should include details about your previous dogs and a thorough break down of the house rules you will have for this pet as well as what their typical day will look like.
It may take a couple of weeks to process the applications. Please try to be patient. All applicants will receive a response - but it won’t be an immediate one.
If your application seems promising you will be contacted for a telephone interview. Should this be successful you will be invited to a meet and greet and asked to send photos of your property.
Should the meet and greet end favourably, you may pay the adoption fee, sign some paperwork and take the pet on a two week trial during which time you will be asked to provide regular updates.
During this trial period the pet remains the property of Onyx Rescue and adoption will only be finalised following a successful trial.
