Introducing Smiley Juice, a happy affectionate boy who longs to find his forever home.
Sadly at middle age he found himself looking for a fresh start. He doesn't understand why, nor would you know behind that impressive smile it even bothers him much, but I'm sure he just hides it well. He has so much love to give and clearly doesn't hold any grudges towards the humans around him as he just wants pats and someone to play.
Unfortunately, Juice missed out or wasn't given the proper direction on how to play nicely with others so is best suited as an only dog; mostly he isn't fond of other male dogs or sharing his treats or food with anyone. Juice has not shown any aggression over his food towards his foster mum, although care would need to be taken when in his new home and he needs to be separated away from children while eating, as we know he values his meals, just as a precaution.
Juice is a little on the chatty side, he will tell you hello and insist you say hello back, he will mainly only bark if you are talking to him, but once told enough he settles and his "barking conversations" have improved immensely since coming into care a few months ago. He is not a "nuisance barker" he actually just does it when you are interacting with him.
When Juice is alone outside he doesn't sit at the backdoor begging to come inside, in fact I don't think he's ever really been an inside dog. He will amuse himself and settle into a comfortable bed waiting for you to come and play.
He is not destructive at all and loves to chew a brisket bone when you come home with the groceries, as that's his favorite day of the week.
Overall Juice is a lovely friendly boy but he has his flaws, and at (approximately) 5 years old, without any formal training he has picked up some bad habits, but this is not his fault and its NOT TRUE what they say about old dogs and new tricks! Just ask Juice. His Adoption fee reflects his current social issues and we hope this will encourage his new owners to invest in some training to help him reach his full potential.
He will be best suited in a home without children as his manners are a little over the top and he does jump up to greet you.
If you're interested in meeting Juice, he is located in Rowville and would really love to meet you too.

Medical notes
Juice has a old injury on his back leg that might cause some arthritis in his senior years. It doesn't affect him at all at the moment but occasionally if he is running around allot he lifts it up and skips a few steps. He is currently taking fish oil tablets to help with long term health of his bones and joints.
