About Patrick
Patrick is a gentle and quiet boy. He was born and fostered for a very long time in foster care in a remote part of the NT.
His mum is a nice small dog and we don't know who dad is. He has a medium sized body but on stumpy legs like a corgi or Daschund but we have no idea of the breed.
Matthew is approx 1yr old, used to other dogs of all shapes and sizes and when being fed by his mum lived in his foster carers "cat pen". So respect cats.
He is now getting used to suburbia and learning to walk on a lead and would probably enjoy basic training classes.
Matthew has never been alone without a dog or human company.
He lived for so long in foster care it was hoped he and his other siblings (also rehomed) could return with their mums to their original home but due to there being too many dogs in the homes, it was decided it was best the dogs found a forever home elsewhere.
Matthew has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated.
He flew from Alice Springs to Sydney and is in foster care in Kingsford in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney near the Prince of Wales Hospital.
Adoption details
If you do not own your home do you have written permission for a dog?
We recommend when bringing a new dog into your home be it a rescue dog or from a breeder, you introduce training of some kind. What kind of training would you introduce for this dog?
Have you had a dog before and when?
How long would the dog be alone for each day and during these times how would you prevent the pup from becoming lonely and bored? (leaving a young pup alone with only toys is not suitable)
Where will the dog sleep at night?
Please add any information that indicates you understand the needs and behaviors of dogs, especially when young.
Please only inquire when you are ready to take a pup home at the time of the "meet and greet" e.g. have puppy proofed your home, purchased everything you need and all decision-makers are present.
Thank you
