About Zena ~ Mastiff x Rottweiler (on trial 1/6/2018)
Zena is a beautiful, 13 month old Female Mastiff x Rottweiler. Her stunning tan coloured coat attracts compliments wherever she goes. Zena is still puppy and looks to her carer for guidance, she just wants to learn “everything”.
Zena is a constant amusement for her foster dad as she shares her toys with her brother. She loves to go for a walk but due to her size and age she will benefit from ongoing training with a confident and gentle handler.
Zena is a large dog with a gentle nature who is happy to spend her days outside in the yard. She currently sleeps inside and is a very good girl. Being a young dog Zena requires lots of stimulation and enjoys chew toys and large raw bones to occupy her and encourage appropriate chew items.
Zena’s ideal home would be a large secure yard with high fences with room to run and play. Kids are ok, but due to her size older children would be more suited. Zena loves human contact and is really looking for a best mate and mentor.
Perhaps you would like double the fun! Zena’s brother Bentley is also available for adoption. check out his profile too. They are best of friends and would love to go to their forever home together.
For more information or to meet Zena, please contact her foster dad Paul on pauljamesblakeley@gmail.com. Zena is in foster care in Cessnock area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Zena’s adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
