About Ron ~ Labrador x Staffy (on trial 7-4-2018)
Meet handsome Ron! Ron is a 14 month old Labrador x Staffy who is very friendly, soft and loving dog who enjoys being around people. He is happy to walk around and just be near you. Ron is a truly friendly dog who loves pats and cuddles.
Ron is an a young and energetic boy who loves other dogs and it would be great if he had active dog friend to keep him occupied. He is not scared of loud noises or storms and fireworks.
Ron loves his walks, he's happy to pass another dog or cat. We wouldn’t however recommend a house with a cat unless they would both have plenty time to adjust.
Due to Ron’s size and his playful nature we would not recommended him for a family with young or timid kids. Ron would benefit from ongoing training as he still has a lot of puppy traits eg. jumping up for attention (he does however settle quickly).
Ron is a very quiet boy and rarely barks. He is not bothered by other dogs in the neighbourhood barking and is quite happy to just cuddle up on his bed.
Ron is a smart boy and has learnt to sit, wait for his food and hand shake. He loves chasing and playing with his toys.
For more information or to meet Ron, please contact his foster carer Renee on 0404 836 020 or renee_gordon@yahoo.com.au. Ron is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Ron’s adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
