About Patrick
Patrick is a very gentle and calm young man who was born and fostered for a very long time in a remote part of the NT.
His mum is a small dog but not sure about dad. He as stumpy legs like a corgi or Daschund with a medium sized dog, body. We have no idea of the breed. So they are short rather than small.
Patrick is approx 1yr old, used to other dogs of all shapes and sizes and when being fed by their mums lived in their foster carers "cat pen". So respectful of cats.
He has never been alone without human or dog company and is now learning to walk on a lead and get used to the sights and sounds of suburbia.
Patrick lived for so long in foster care hoping that he could return with his mum to their original home but due to there being too many dogs in the home, it was decided it was best the boys found a forever home elsewhere.
He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated and flew from Alice Springs to Sydney and is in foster care in Kingsford, near Prince of Wales Hospital, Sth eastern Sydney suburbs.
Adoption details
If you do not own your home do you have written permission for a dog?
We recommend when bringing a new dog into your home be it a rescue dog or from a breeder, you introduce training of some kind. What kind of training would you introduce for this dog?
Have you had a dog before and when?
How long would the dog be alone for each day and during these times how would you prevent the pup from becoming lonely and bored? (leaving a young pup alone with only toys is not suitable)
Where will the dog sleep at night?
Please add any information that indicates you understand the needs and behaviors of dogs, especially when young.
Please only inquire when you are ready to take a pup home at the time of the "meet and greet" e.g. have puppy proofed your home, purchased everything you need and all decision-makers are present.
Thank you
