About Nala ~ Labrador x Border Collie (on trial 3/4/18)
Introducing the gorgeous Nala! Nala is an 18 month old Labrador X Border Collie. Nala is very friendly with people and dogs and just loves to please. She’s currently in foster care with a female Golden Retriever which she gets along well with her. Nala doesn’t like cats and she’ll let you know this by a bark or two.
Nala understands basic commands like sit, come and on occasions “shake hands “. Nala would love for her furever family to continue her training as she hasn’t had much of it in the past.
Nala is house trained and since being in foster care, she hasn’t had any accidents inside. She is extremely affectionate and is the first to greet you at the back door.
Nala would love to go to a furever home where she has another playmate to keep her company, although this is not necessary. Nala is quite happy to be outside during the day and will sleep outside at night. She loves going for walks which will keep you active!
Nala will need a secure yard with high fencing. Nala would make the perfect addition to any family.
For more information or to meet Nala please email her foster carers Keith and Carlen on kjr055@hotmail.com. Nala is in foster care in Aberglasslyn, NSW (near Maitland) and is available for adoption interstate.
Nala adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
