About Kingsley
Meet Kingsley, he is the epitome of what a little boy is all about. Kingsley is an active young, inquisitive, loving little pocket rocket.
When you first meet Kingsley he can be a little weary and nervous. He is nervous when confronting any new situation to the point where he will wrap his little paws around your arm and hold on until he figures out things are not so scary. The positive to this is that it doesn’t take him long to feel comfortable enough to let go of your arm.
Kingsley is your typical terrier and other fast moving animals are a big game to him. He would not do well in a home with a cat or pocket pets as he loves to bark and chase them.
This little dog would love to have some young humans of his own to play with in the back yard, to throw him the ball and play tug of war. An active busy couple who would love to take him out and about and to the park to play would also be ideal. Due to his petite size and occasionally getting carried away with play he is best suited to a family with kids 8 or over.
Kingsley is super smart and loves learning new tricks. He really enjoys the part of the day where we do training and does best learning with treats. Kingsley can sit, drop, stand on his back legs and touch your hand, he also does a spin and can wait in the sit position till called. A family that will continue to teach him new tricks would be great.
Kingsley walks well on lead and would love a walk each day to stimulate his senses and get him use to new environments.
If you are away at work/school during the day another doggy friend of similar size would be ideal. Kingsley loves playing, doing zoomies and rumbling with his foster sister. Kingsley is not a dominant dog but he does know how to assert himself and is not a total push over.
Kingsley loves being a sticky beak and will spend the day going from each family member to the next sticking his nose in whatever you are doing until he gets bored and moves on. He will nudge your hands if he thinks you are paying way too much attention to your phone or tablet and that means, pat me. He also puts toys in your lap which means come play with me.
A home willing to make him part of the family is a must. He is not a dog to be left outside away from the family. He is fully house trained and is able to use a doggy door. Kingsley is crate trained and sleeps the whole night with out a sound until he hears you get up in the morning and then he wants to get out and start the day with you. Kingsley also although a little nervous travels well in the car.
Kingsley is by no means just a lap dog and is quite active but later in the evening he does love a cuddle and a nap while the family watches tv.
