About Archie ~ German Shepherd X (on trial 13-4-2018)
This handsome young fellow is Archie. He is a German Shepherd cross who is 12 months old. Archie is in need of a new carer or of course would be happy to get a new home.
Archie is one very smart boy with loads of energy and enthusiasm. He has basis commands and will sit, come when called and also wait for his dinner. He would thrive on having someone willing to give him the time to continue his training as he learns easily.
Archie has a loving personality and enjoys having a cuddle. He appreciates his time with the family so will need to be included in family life and be allowed inside.
He does currently sleep outside on an undercover deck but would like it if he could have a spot inside to sleep.
Archie loves nothing more then to play with other dogs and would like a playmate around his own size but this isn’t an essential if he gets plenty of exercise. Archie walks well on lead but gets very excited to see other dogs as just wants to have a play. Time at the dog beach and park would be great for Archie.
Archie is quite happy spending time in the yard chasing lizards or lazing around chewing on a bone or chew toys. He does need high fences as not a small boy.
Archie would suit an active family with teenage children or an active couple who are happy to take him out with them.
If you would like to meet Archie please contact Sharron who is taking all enquiries for him on 0423 331057 or sstudley3@bigpond.com. Archie is currently located in Adamstown Heights and is available for adoption interstate.
Archie’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
