About Rose
Hello beautiful hoomans, my name is Rose and I'm looking for a family to call my own.
Let me tell you a bit about me....firstly, Im beautiful, secondly, Im loveable, and thirdly, I don't mind being the only dog. I do not have a big fancy name as I never raced, but I am enjoying retired life. my favourite things to do are go on my daily walks, play with my soft squeaky toys and I love food! I am easily trainable with food.
I am a 3yr old , very pretty, Fawn greyhound that my foster
mum describes as a perfect house guest. I have excellent food manners,
never beg or steal food and very clean inside the house. I can last
all night and go outside when you get up in the morning. I don't mind the car but sometimes i can get car sick if I eat too much before we go. I lay down quietly on the seat and wait to arrive at somewhere fun. I love love love my squeaky toys and would never damage them. I also will take as much cuddling and patting as you want to give me but if you don't have time that is OK as I am very happy amusing my self. i just love to be near you and spend time with my hooman friends. I live as an only dog and am just fine that way. When you are the only dog, you don't have to share anything! And that is just fine by me. I can amuse myself while you are out or i will just sleep in a nice grass patch until you come home.
I love my walks, but I can pull on the lead when we first set out but am responding well to lead training. i am still quite strong so i will need someone who can continue to train me and doesn't mind a strong dog like me. I can go for decent length walks and not get tired. or if you prefer short ones, Im ok with that too.
I am looking for a person or family that doesn't mind having an only dog, or if you have another dog, a medium to large male is best.
I can socialise with other medium to large dogs just fine. But I’m not really great with small dogs, and prefer not to meet or live with them, however once I get to know them, I may decide we are friends. I am good with kids, (ages 6+) but also love the quiet life. I am not cat tolerant. But apart from that, Im pretty flexible really!
I require a special owner and I know that, but I’m sure there is one out there, right?
I am hoping to find just that special person or family who are willing to accept me for me with all my little imperfections. Because after all, no one is perfect.
If you think you provide the right home for me, Please give my friends at Bridging the Gap Rehoming a call and speak to them about me. I promise i will love you forever if you can find that space in your heart and home for a dog like me.
Love Rose

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
