About Flick ~ Maltese x Chihuahua (on trial 24/3/18)
Flick is a beautiful, 9 week old, female, Maltese x Chihuahua puppy who loves to play with her toys and siblings and cuddle with you on the lounge while watching tv.
Flick is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She loves playing with her brother and sister and is living with 6 other dogs so would like another small friendly dog to play with. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Flick will grow up to be a small dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Flick. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Flick is learning house training, but she is only a baby and accidents will happen. Her reward training will need to be continued in her new home as she is a house dog and needs to be part of the family. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 10 years and older (for her safety because she is so small). As she is quite fast and energetic, she would potentially be a trip hazard for very young kids or the elderly.
Flick’s siblings: Felina, Farris, Sage and Lavender are also available for adoption.
As Flick is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Flick, please contact her carer Debbie by emailing debbie_morphett@bigpond.com. Flick is in Beresfield, NSW (Newcastle area).
Flick's adoption fee is $700 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
