Chester is a very sweet natured, affectionate, energetic and curious pup!

He is intelligent and quickly learning his manners. He can sit on command, sleeps quietly on his bed through the night, and has almost mastered toilet training.

He enjoys being in the company of people and other dogs (he’s currently living with an adult dog), and would benefit from having a young canine friend to play with. He would certainly be content as the only dog in the house, as long as he receives lots of attention.

He enjoys a snuggle, watching tv, car rides and collecting random objects from around the house and garden, placing them on his bed for safekeeping.

Given Chester is a Staghound, it’s recommended that he not live with small animals and is carefully managed off-lead. He will need an owner dedicated to training as he will grow to be large - up to 40kg. He is also not suited to a family with very small children, as being a rather large puppy, he may inadvertently hurt smaller friends during his mouthing stage.

Staghounds are generally not hyperactive as adults. While they love to run and have moderate exercise requirements, they will happily laze around the house once they’ve burnt their energy.
