Lassie

Weighing in at only 8 kg but with her beautiful dappled black white colouring and fawn points, Lassie reminds us of a cattle dog, but shrunk down into a very small package. What a sweet little dog she is - just so devoted to her human, like a little shadow. She would never dream of running away, and walks just as well off lead as she does on. She just doesn't want to go far from your side. Lassie also loves a lap cuddle, and would prefer to sleep on the end of the bed just to be close. She has a bomb proof nature really - very well accepted by the other dogs, and used to and good with humans of all ages. Lassie likes a game too and will chase a ball or have a wrestle with one of the other dogs.

Lassie came to us via the Tennant Creek Pound. She had an owner, but that person declined to pay her registration fee to get her released. She was there for 3 weeks waiting for her owner to come for her but they never did, so she has made her way to us for rehoming. We aim to find a home for this lovely little girl where she is loved and treasured as she deserves.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Lassie's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Lassie is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
