About Jedda - AV1006
Hi my name is Jedda, although my friends call me Spud because I look like a fat little potato - everyone loves potatoes, right? Apparently it's a term of endearment?
I'm super duper cute and kind of like a potato in personality too, because I mostly like to sit around and not do a lot.
People have this idea that chihuahuas can be a bit snappy and stuff, but I'm not like that at all. I am about the most relaxed little dog you'll ever meet. I'm very friendly and personable and I love getting attention but I'm not demanding and I'll just hang out and nap when you're not around.
Obviously I'm a pretty senior chap, so I'm well past any puppy antics - but I still enjoy a short daily stroll to the park or up the street. I currently weigh in at 8kg which is at least 2kg more than I should be - so any exercise will be rather a good idea!
I'm good with other dogs, cats and children, although I don't want kids to be all over me 24/7.
I'm in really good health aside from my weight and my teeth (I'm having some dental work done soon, there's no extra cost to you for that!)
To be honest, I haven't been particularly well cared for. I haven't been abused but I've been largely ignored and not gotten all the love I so deserve. I would really like my senior years to see me pampered and adored.
I'm not an escape artist as such, though if I can get out I will so secure fences all the way to the ground are necessary.
Anyway, I'm a really awesome little dude. I would love to come home with you!d
Medical notes
Jedda has a mouth full of rotten teeth, some of which need removing and all need cleaning.
This procedure will be arranged and paid for by SAFE Avon Valley at no cost to you but you will need to be able to get him to our vet clinic for his appointment. This can be discussed upon enquiry.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
