About Elsie ~ Miniature Fox Terrier (on trial 29/3/2018)
My name is Elsie and I am a gorgeous black and white 6 month old female Miniature Fox Terrier. I am very energetic and healthy and don’t have a nasty bone in my 2.5kg body.
I love humans and animals and just want to be loved with cuddles, hugs, kisses and lots of playtime with another dog, preferably a boy. I really want to be with another small dog or two and I don’t care what breed. I am currently living with 5 other dogs all under 12kg (deaf Maltese, Jack Russell, 3 Chi’s). We all get on magnificently but I am best friends with the 2 boys (Maltese and one of the Chi’s).
I go in and out from the house to the yard via a doggy door (with a plastic flap), sit and shake hands and love food including the occasional smacko, nightly dentastix and puppy milk. This puppy milk gives me so much energy – yum yum yum. I am still learning my toilet training but I am slowly making progress.
I am walking on a lead but still need more practice. I know that my new family will walk me regularly. I also LOVE to travel in a car with no problems whatsoever.
I MUST sleep inside every night.
I refuse to go to a home where:
(1) nobody is home all day
(2) I am put outside the house day or night for lengthy times
(3) I don’t have another doggy mate.
(4) I am going to be locked outside
I believe that I am a brilliant little girl who deserves nothing but the best home. I don’t bark much, jump fences, dig holes, destroy furniture or bite.
My foster carer Don has told me that he is not in any hurry to adopt me out and that he will look after me until I find the PERFECT home no matter how long that may take. He is so wonderful to me and I know that I give him a lot of joy too. Between you and me I know that he will be extremely upset when I leave.
For more information or to meet Elsie, please contact her foster carer Don on v8supercarrick@hotmail.com. Elsie is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Elise’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
