About Teddy ~ Maltese X (on trial 21/3/2018)
Introducing the amazing Teddy. Teddy is a very attractive 3 and 1/2 year old Maltese x boy and could best be described as the Ryan Gosling of the doggy world. Good looking, charming, sweet, and affectionate with just the right amount of swagger.
If you have school aged children who are looking for a partner in crime, or if you need a leading man in your life, look no further. Teddy would be a great addition to your family.
Super Ted has passed the naughty puppy stage and is fully house trained and can use a doggy door. He does not chew furniture or shoes and his gentle, energetic, fun loving personality means he is always up for an adventure.
In true Gosling style Teddy is very confident. He sometimes likes to carry his own lead when going on walks and loves the attention he gets from the girls while doing it. He even happily wears his harness on car rides. He sits when told and when you call him by name, runs to you and gives you the sweetest hug to thank you for thinking of him.
His future family will need to be committed to maintain his good looks. He will need a weekly bath and brush and occasionally a trip to the groomer.
His celebrity status may have gone to his head as his foster parents have only been able to convince him to eat chicken and store bought mince. Apparently tin food is beneath him. His new family may need to be patient in this area.
Teddy likes to dig. Usually at the most inappropriate time … like right before this photo shoot. He even has the cutest dreams about digging. He does not pull out plants or damage gardens but rather tries to escape when left unattended for long periods of time. Because of this Super Teds adoptive parents will need to pass a strict yard check and be prepared to offer this bright boy mental as well as physical exercise to pass the day.
Teddy currently sleeps in a bed with his foster parents, but will sleep in his own bed if you would prefer, but it will need to be inside the house.
Teddy has not met a cat or a pocket pet and would need an introduction prior to adoption if you have one.
If you are interested in adopting this little dog who has a huge personality, please complete the adoption questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt.html
and email it to his foster mum Kylie on Sausageandmaggie@outlook.com. Teddy is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Teddy’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
