About Lucy ~ Dane x Kelpie (on trial 7-4-2018)
Meet Lucy! The lovely Kelpie X Dane who is 15 months old. She is a super affectionate and gentle girl with the most loving personality looking for her forever home. Her favourite thing is cuddles!
Lucy currently lives with her foster carers who have a 6 year old male Bull Arab X. They have a great time playing together and she would enjoy to have a play mate for company but would also be great as an only dog. She hasn't had the opportunity to live with cats or children but she is super friendly and shows no aggression towards people or other dogs.
Lucy can be timid at times when introduced to new places and sometimes meeting new people but quickly warms up to her surroundings and everyone she meets. She loves a pat or a cuddle from anyone!
As she is still young, she can be a chewer and digger so is best she has plenty of toys to play with to keep her occupied as she is full of energy.
She knows basic commands such as sit, stay, shake, no and to sit on her bed. Lucy is an energetic dog and will need ongoing training and attention. She is a quick learner. Lucy is toilet trained, is outside most of the day as her foster parents work full time and does sleep inside on her own bed at night.
Lucy is a sweet and very loving girl and all she wants is to be loved. She will continue to grow and learn to be a great family dog and looking forward to starting her new life in a loving forever home.
For more information or to meet the beautiful Lucy please contact her foster carers Kim Waite on 0411 529 242 or kim.waite1@outlook.com or James Waite on 0408 369 520 or james.waite1@outlook.com. Lucy is in foster care at Tingira Heights NSW (Lake Macquarie) an is available for adoption interstate.
Lucy’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
