Meet the lovely Lucy, Dane X Kelpie, we are not too sure of her exact age but is still a sweet pup roughly around 10 months old. She is a super affectionate and gentle girl looking for her forever home.
Lucy currently lives with her foster carers who have a 6 year old male Bull Arab X. They have a ball together playing in the backyard and she would enjoy having a playmate for company. She hasn't had the opportunity to be with cats or children but she is very friendly and shows no aggression.
Lucy can be shy and timid at first when meeting new people but quickly warms up to everyone showing them how affectionate she is with lots of cuddles and kisses. She loves the attention.
She knows basic commands such as sit, stay and no but will need some more training as she is still a pup but she is a quick learner. She didn't have a name when she was rescued so is still learning her name. Lucy is toilet trained, is outside most of the day and does sleep inside on her own bed at night.
As she is still a puppy she can be a chewer and digger but should grow out of it once she starts to get a little older and more obedient. Lucy loves to play and full of energy so she will need plenty of toys.
Lucy is a sweet and very loving girl and all she wants is to be loved. She will continue to grow and learn to be a great family dog and looking forward to starting her new life in a loving forever home.
For more information or to meet the beautiful Lucy please contact her foster carers Kim Waite on 0411 529 242 or firstname.lastname@example.org or James Waite on 0408 369 520 or email@example.com. Lucy is in foster care at Tingira Heights NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
Lucy’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Happy and healthy dog
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
