About Murphy DB336
Introducing Murphy,
Murphy is a very handsome boy who is packed full of energy so would suit a family that will ensure he gets long daily walks and plenty of fetch time. Murphy absolutely loves his tennis ball and will follow you around the yard waiting for any opportunity to strategically drop it for a throw. He will even kindly place it on your chair for you! It's not uncommon to get back from a 5km walk to find Murphy in search of his ball for a game of fetch, therefore a large spacious yard for Murphy is a must.
Unfortunately Murphy has already been re-homed once. His current family acquired him from Gumtree not long ago and although proving to be their perfect pet he is a little unsure about their 6 yr old daughter and seems uneasy in her company. He will happily let her throw a ball but not keen on her patting him. He's been fine with their 7 yr child though. We feel Murphy would be best suited to a family without younger kids. Teenagers might be ok.
Murphy has basic obedience, sit, stay, shake etc but could do with further training and work on his recall. He is untested with other dogs but does react when he sees them out walking so would either need to be an only pet or be homed with a female companion dog and an owner with some experience in dog training. With some steady interaction we think Murphy will be fine with another pet. Murphy has quickly become accustomed to chooks.
Murphy prefers the outdoors and had a couple of little accidents inside his new home at first but is getting used to being inside and has slept soundly inside once familiar with his surroundings.
Murphy is an awesome, fun, intelligent dog looking forward to his forever home.
