Hi, Iām Joss Clarimond. And I need love. Donāt we all. But I would like my love to be shared with one or two or more humans (or maybe more as I love adult humans) and definitely no other animals. I would like to walk in a quiet area with not too many dogs to stress me out. I would love a back garden and you to play with me and perhaps give me things to learn and do. Iām still quite active for a middle aged dog. And if you could help VicDRG work with my trainer to be a ābetterā dog (not sure what that means) that would be great. And to be gentle when you handle me around my ribs because theyāve been fractured and something nasty that I havenāt quite forgotten has happened to me before.
Ok. Iāll be honest. Iām a cutie, Iām a goofball. I have a huge goofy grin when playful. I absolutely love attention/cuddles/pats when offered. I absolutely adore people.
Yes I am what these people call dog reactive. Yes I can be a bit of a stress head. Yes I try to steal food from tabletops and so on if you are silly enough to leave it out. And yes I have been known to eat my own poo (Iām hanging my head here).
But I promise you I will love you so much that youāll forgive me. And you will help me to be better with other dogs. And then Iāll be almost perfect (except for the food and poos).
As VicDRG find out more about me they will post updates to this link http://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/dogs-for-adoption/joss-clarimond-cavalier-maltese.html
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adoptersā Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
