With his new dapper "furcut", feeling fresh and free, Cookie is ready to charm his way into a new heart and home! With plenty of enthusiasm for exploring, this young fellow is seeking an active companion to accompany on daily adventures.

In his past life Cookie spent many hours outdoors, so he is certainly accustomed to whiling away the time sniffing and exploring. However, Cookie's dream new family will invite him inside for quality bonding time (a spot on the couch would be grand!) and will be able to provide lots of toys and treats to occupy him when everyone is out at work and school. A comfortable place inside to call his own will be a great comfort to Cookie on stormy nights; thunder and fireworks and other such loud disturbances tend to send him running for cover, but with shelter and support from his new best friends Cookie should cope just fine.

Here at Kemps Creek Cookie has been bonding with staff members and volunteers and will no doubt charm our many visitors. He would do best in a home with mature children (over 12 years of age) as small kids will likely be a bit overwhelming for him. Cookie has also been socialising with other canines here at the shelter and though he isn't too sure about making friends yet, he certainly has the potential to become an affable and sociable boy. Safe and slow introductions once he has settled into his new digs will help to boost his confidence.
