About Allen Pincer
RetIred gentleman greyhound ALLEN PINCER ( affectionately known as "Ben") was born on 20/11/13 and finished racing a few months ago. This boy is another stunner. Tall dark and handsome, he warms to those he knows for his snuggles and cuddles and is a big softy. Still a little timid with loud noises and unfamiliar sights, Ben is learning fast about the big wide world beyond the race track and really enjoying life as a companion dog in the company of his foster carers. He loves his teddy bears and soft toys and plays with them like a puppy as well as hoarding them in his bed. Ben will make a great family dog with kids older than about 9 because of his size. He seems to like other dogs of all sizes. He is relaxed on the lead and enjoys going for walks down to the local park.
Like most greyhounds he prefers to be an inside/outside dog as he struggles in the heat and the cold and prefers to be with his family inside. BEN cannot be allowed off leash in public or in an unfenced AREA simply because he is a Greyhound, but he is allowed to be on a lead out and about in our council areas 'muzzle free'.
Greyhounds make great companions and Ben is no exception. He is affectionate and playful and ready for the right home and comes microchipped, desexed, flea and tick treated, immunised and heartworm tested negative. Ben will have his collar and lead and a lifetime of backup and assistance from the local Companion Greyhound Group.
