About Ziggy
NO CATS
SINGLE DOG HOME
OLDER CHILDREN
Hi my name is Ziggy, I’m sadly needing a new home due to no fault of my own.
I have pedigree papers which a copy of will be given to my new owners, I’m house trained and have lived with children who are 3 & 6 yrs old since they were babies but I jump up so I can accidentally knock them over. I need an experienced dog owner who will take me to obedience which Stafford Rescue will pay for.I need a secure back yard and I will chase cattle so it’s best I don’t live where there are any.
I know how to sit, stay, drop and shake hands, I take food from your hand gently, I do pull on the lead which is another reason I need to go to obedience.
So unless you can offer me the training I need please don’t apply.
Below are some notes on my behavioural assessment.
Adoption Criteria
• Experienced and active individuals ONLY, who are willing to put the time and effort this dog needs
• Nil young children
• Nil cats
• Nil other animals
• Obedience, impulse control, exercise, rules and boundaries are all an absolute must!
Here are some notes from my previous owner.
AN AFFECTIONATE BOY WHO LOVES COMPANY, ATTENTION AND WALKS.
HE WILL MAKE A FABULOUS AND LOYAL COMPANION TO THE RIGHT OWNER.
AS HE IS AN OLDER DOG HE HAS BEGUN TO SLOW DOWN AND IS HAPPY TO LAZE AROUND IN THE SUN SO LONG AS HE GETS AT LEAST ONE GOOD WALK A DAY.
So if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above, and, in return, I’ll give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for! Please go to www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au where you will find the Adoption Application. Please make sure you read all the information on the Adoption page, as well as the links at the bottom.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
