About Cookie ~ Foxie x puppy (on trial 22/3/2018)
Meet Cookie! He is a 10 week old Foxie X and is a real scallywag. He is full of energy and enthusiasm, and bursting with life. He loves to get into everything, including gardens, open cupboards, boxes, and off course the shelving under the coffee table.
Cookie loves to explore gardens, rooms, the shed, the yard and anything and everything available to him as he is always on the go. He also loves to play with the other puppies that are here, but he thinks he can mix it with the big guys too. Cookie is a barrel of laughs and keeps you entertained and laughing with his antics for hours.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Cookie will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as he would be too lonely on his own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Cookie needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Cookie would love a family with children to keep him busy and fussed over, or perhaps someone who also likes to go on adventures and explore new places. If you are keen to meet Cookie, put in an application quick as he's going to be very popular!
As Cookie is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Cookie, please contact his foster carer on Alina on 0497077160 or via email at claudeshowie@hotmail.com. Cookie is in Windermere Park, NSW.
Cookie's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
