Bruce is a loving and happy young boy who while not having had much training before coming to us, is willing to give it a shot especially for treats (he will sit nicely for them) and to please his humans. Bruce is friendly and enjoys nothing more than spending time lounging around with his family. He walks well on lead. He is voice responsive and 'checks in' regularly with you when being walked to make sure you are still there! Bruce came to us microchipped as part Shar Pei, however he also looks like a Bull Terrier... so short of a DNA test, his real breeding will remain a mystery! If you are looking for a young dog to train, grow with the family and be a loyal friend, this fella might suit you.
ENERGY LEVEL & REQUIREMENTS
Bruce is quite high energy, does tend to be a bit exuberant at times, but in the right home with some consistent boundaries and guidance from his owner he should calm down. He will do best in a home where he receives a good amount of interaction with his family, gets a good daily walk/run, and plenty of mental stimulation. An owner who has had past experience of and a bit of patience with good natured goofballs would suit Bruce best!
COMPATIBILITY TO OTHER DOGS
We feel Bruce likely would not have been well socialised with other dogs growing up and does react to them, getting very 'silly' and barking at them. He would prefer a home where he is the only pet and will need to be under control in the vicinity of other dogs in case he wishes to approach without permission. Not suited to a home with cats, rabbits etc.
COMPATIBILITY TO CHILDREN
Bruce has not been introduced to any children in his foster home but he can be quite bouncy and has quite a high jump when overly excited, and although this is being worked on he will be best going to a home without small children as he may bowl them over. Children over the age of 12 might be best, pending a meet.

Bruce cut himself on the head trying to get out of his holding pen so has a slight bald patch on his head at the moment, however this is healing nicely and won't need any ongoing treatment.
