Hi, I’m Callie, and my foster ma says I am a “dream” foster dog….and she’s had HEAPS! I don’t dig, bark, chew stuff or take food I am not supposed to. Being a kelpie, I do love a good run around and I play happily with any dogs, even the super big and really tiny ones! I walk well on a leash as long as the thingy called a “halti” is on my head, I don’t mind wearing it and it stops me from pulling too much. My foster ma has taught me manners like sitting nicely and waiting for my food, coming when I am called (I do need to work on doing this when I am distracted), and staying put when I am told to. I love humans of all kind, both big and little, and loooove to get cuddles. I am currently living with 4 other dogs, and boy do they all have different personalities, but I get along with all of them and I would love to have a fur sibling to live with in my forever home! If I sound like your kinda girl, please contact Lucky Paws so we can set up a date so you can meet me and see how truly awesome I am!

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
