Callie is a beautiful girl, both inside and out!
Callie is very dog friendly and currently lives with 4 other dogs, all with different personalities. She walks well on lead but does get a little excited when she sees another dog, once corrected she listens and will sit on command. Callie needs another dog for company in her new home, she absolutely loves them.
Callie has no food aggression, will wait nicely for her dinner and will sit, drop and stay. She is great with kids of all ages, hasn't been tested with cats but her carer doesn't see an issue with a slow intro.
In the short time she has been in foster care, she has learnt to fetch a ball and bring it back. She has medium energy levels and a good walk every day will keep her happy.
Callie is a good all-round sweet girl who will thrive in a family environment with another dog for company or someone who is home a fair bit.
Callie has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ C5 Vaccinated
~ Heartworm Tested
~ Heartworm Treated
~ Flea Treated
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
