Harlequin has been in foster care for so long now it would be amazing if we could find her a forever indoor only home. She does have special housing requirements (see medical notes) and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
She has a beautiful nature, loves to snuggle and loves attention. She’s a petite kitten and we don’t think she’s going to get much bigger. She doesn't let her condition slow her down in any way, she acts just like a regular kitten and plays with the other cats too. Harlequin would be better suited to a house without small children though as they can be a bit rough. You can hold her and pick her up but she needs extra gentle care with her chest area. She is fully litter trained.
She is located in Mt Druitt, if you would like to meet this petite sweetie please get in touch with us.
Harlequin has pectus excavatum which is a congenital deformity of the anterior thoracic wall in which the sternum and rib cage grow abnormally. This produces a caved-in or sunken appearance of the chest. She has the all clear from the vet for adoption and has had all her vet work done. She will be better suited to a home without small children though, as they can be too rough. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
At Brighter Future Cat Rescue we adopt to indoor homes only or homes with suitable cat runs. House checks are a must and all our cats and kittens have meet and greets. A 2 week trial period is given to ensure that they are ideal for your situation and lifestyle. All our cats come desexed, microchipped, first vaccination and their worming and flea treatment are up to date. We rescue our cats off the street and would think nothing worse that they be placed back there and in danger of the perils of modern day society.
