Woof! Hello my name is June, but the staff and volunteers at Blue Cross like to call me June-Bug.

I am an older lady who is ready to find her fur-ever family. I am super affectionate, and love nothing more than to climb onto the lap of my humans and snuggle into them. I absolutely love people! Every new face I meet, I greet them with a waggy tail and a smiling face.

I walk great on a lead, but the staff would recommend walking me on a harness for extra comfort as sometimes when I see another dog, I get a little worked up. Other dogs are quite overwhelming as I was not socialised much in my life. Because of this, I will need to be a single dog, and will need a family committed to working on my socialisation skills, as well as my mental stimulation.

I am not suited to a home with young children or regularly visiting young children, nor am I suited to a home with small pets and livestock. I may never be able to be off lead at a dog park or dog beach, but I still promise to fill your hearts with endless amounts of love. Daily exercise is still a must for me, and I still love going for my walks!

I recently visited Mr. Vet and he removed a mammary gland tumour which was malignant (they said this was the bad type of tumour). The good news is that they removed it entirely with clear margins, however there is still a reasonable chance that this could or may have spread further already. This is something that any potential adoptees will need to consider.
