About Gemma ~ Bull Terrier X (on trial 22-4-2018)
Gemma is a 6 month old Bull Terrier X puppy with a very loving and gentle nature. She is still quite young and would be best suited in a new forever home where she would be able to get the attention and training that is needed for an energetic dog.
Gemma knows some basic commands like sit, shake and too wait for her food. She has shown great willingness to learn, especially with positive reinforcement and a few tasty treats.
When out and about Gemma is always on her best behavior interacting with other dogs and children of all sizes, she hasn't had the opportunity to be introduced to cats formally and will tug on the leash if she sees one.
Gemma does get very excited off leash when she gets to run around and play and might be a little too much for smaller dogs, remember she is still a puppy, and she’s been learning when to come back and sit to calm down for a bit.
Gemma is super affectionate and loves to snuggle right up against people and other dogs and watch the world go by, absolutely loves scratches all over her body and will repay you with kisses and has been sleeping a mix of inside and outside without any troubles. Gemma would be the perfect candidate for that medium puppy size hole in your life.
For more information or to meet Gemma, please contact Donna on Timmypebmilo@hotmail.com or
0466 099 426. Gemma is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Gemma’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
