About Sally ~ 2 year old Kelpie X (on trial 8/3/2018)
ally came into care mid December from the pound with her 1 day old pups, 10 in total. All Sally’s pups have been adopted to great people and now it is time to find Sally her perfect home.
Sally is a 2 year old Kelpie cross and we feel has come from a farm. She hasn’t had any training but being a Kelpie is very smart and would so love someone to spend the time with her to give her the training she would benefit from.
Sally hasn’t been well socialised with people. She is very timid and shy. She tends to scare easily with sudden movements. She likes open space but in saying this when inside loves to lay on the couch. With slow introductions she comes over for a pat. You can tell she is is keen but is wary. She does sleep outside but we would like Sally to be included in family time.
Sally loves the company of other dogs and would need a furry friend. Her confidence builds being around other dogs. Sally does love to chew so chew toys are her favourite thing. She collects them and takes them to her space where she spends her time lazily chewing away.
Sally would benefit from someone that understands her needs and willing to be patient with her.
If you would like to meet Sally please contact Sharron who is taking all enquiries for her on 0423 331057 or email: sstudley3@bigpond.com. Sally is located in Medowie with her foster carer John and is available for adoption interstate.
Sally’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
