Lochlan

The name Lochlan is an Irish name that was historically often given to children born with ginger hair. It means Land of the Lochs and is a reference to the Vikings that plundered Ireland in the 9th and 10th centuries. It also means warrior.

Our little ginger warrior Lochlan reminds me of a little Viking with his wonderful adventurous personality. He leaves his quiet brother behind and sets off on new quests daily for new toys to plunder and loot. Shoelaces are a particular favourite. He has a friendly nature that extends to all creatures great and small. He has shared his foster home with two dogs – an Irish Wolfhound and a Dane Mastiff cross. He thinks they are wonderful companions even if they are a bit frightened of him.

Lochlan absolutely loves his human foster sisters. His confidence is beautifully endearing and makes him a quirky, playful creature that’s fun to watch and play with. But he is just as happy curling up next to his human foster sisters as they show him how to play an iPad. He has been living with his brother and his mum and he loves a friendly play with them, so he would love living with another cat.
