This boy is just a delight. He is soft natured and very friendly. At home he is everyone’s best friend and is more than willing to get pats and cuddles. In fact, he wishes he was a lap dog as he loves climbing into your lap for snuggles. Anyone that he meets can be his new friend though he can be a little shy if it is a stranger in the street. Denman’s other love is fetch. He is fast becoming an expert, and enjoys you throwing the ball in the yard with him so he can chase it and bring it back for more. Overall, this boy is beautiful and wants nothing more than to have the opportunity to hang out with you and have some fun.

Denman has met a range of other dogs and is quite sociable. He enjoys playing with other dogs and particularly likes a chasing game. Meeting other dogs can still be a bit exciting for him but he is just keen to make friends and get on to playtime. Being a working breed mix, Denman is relatively active and will require daily exercise and stimulation to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life. He would suit an active family who want to take him on adventures, runs and/or daily outings. Other than that he is happy to hang out at home when you are at work.

Denman has basic manners and training. He is food motivated most of the time and willing to please. He knows how to sit and walks pretty well on the lead, though he is continuing to learn how not to pull. When at home is not a barker (unless he hears a motorbike), chewer or digger. He sleeps through the night on his bed next to his foster carer so he does like to be nearby his beloved humans. Denman would benefit from someone who is happy to continue some basic training with him but is a good dog and won’t need too much work to polish him up.

We are looking for a home where Denman will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He would be happy to share his home with another playful dog or be the only dog. He is fine to spend the days waiting for you to come home from work as long as there is still plenty of time for exercise and cuddles when you are home. Being a loyal companion, Denman should be allowed inside to be with the family when you are home so that he gets the attention and company that he deserves. Ideally he should also be allowed to sleep inside at night out of the weather.
