About Blu
In order to meet Blu please complete this form https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
Located Scarborough WA 6019
Generally.
Blu is an affectionate sweet heart that enjoys nothing more then being a lap dog. She will shower her owner with cuddles and kisses, shadowing them around the home. A little treat before you leave the home can help her relax about being left.
Ideal home.
Active seniors, retirees or families with older kids would make Blu very happy as long as someone is home more often than not. Blu likes to sit on your lap or next to you so her new owner will need to be affectionate too.
She will not suit homes where residents are young, frail, elderly or time poor.
Other dogs?
Yes. Blu can be timid around new friends, taking time to feel confident and realise she is safe. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can have all the attention.
Cats?
No. If she sees one she will chase it.
Kids?
Yes. Blue jumps up in excitement so we recommend any kids be teenagers or older and only if gentle and calm around animals.
Size.
6kgs.
Exercise requirements?
Blu enjoys strolls to the park or playtime at home. Blu thinks it is a lot of fun if you throw her beloved ball with her.
How is this dog on a lead?
Like most dogs she is fine unless she sees something exciting. While on a lead she can become frightened if other dogs are allowed to come too close and will bark in these situations.
How is this dog off the lead?
Blu usually stays close by and comes when called.
Escape artist?
Blu might wander off if a door is accidentally left open but is not always actively trying to escape. We recommend a medium to large secure yard.
Nuisance barker or destructive?
Blu will alert you if something strange is about the property but is not currently a nuisance barker. She is not destructive.
Toilet trained?
Yes, if she has access to a doggy door. Blu comes with a doggy door that can be fitted into a sliding door.
Tolerance to being alone.
Yes but she prefers human company.
Likes.
She loves her ball, cuddles and loads of attention. Blu also loves food - nothing makes her happier than eating chicken !!

______________________________________
We strongly recommend you read the profile carefully where everything we know about the dog/s is outlined.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) https://www.dogadoption.org.au/expression-of-interest---adoption.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
