About Scarlett ~ Staffy X (on trial 28-4-2018)
Scarlett is a beautiful Staffy X and only 4 months old. She loves people, children and every furkid she has been introduced to. Scarlett has been well socialised and shows absolutely no signs of aggression in any situation she is put in.
Scarlett gets along with all of the bigger furkids and is very gentle with the smaller pups that share the house and yard with her. She will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as she would be too lonely on her own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
She has been allowed to come in and out of the house during the day as she pleases, but sleeps inside of a night. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Scarlett is happy to share a bed with one of the other furkids, sprawl out on the couch by herself, or lay outside in the sun and snooze.
We have been working on toilet training and sitting when asked. Scarlett has mastered sitting for a treat, but needs someone patient to further her toilet training.
Scarlett is a big gentle girl that is very sweet and affectionate. She would suit a family with children of all ages or someone wanting to smother her in love and kisses. Scarlett is going to grow up to a medium size (no bigger than a Staffy).
As Scarlett is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Scarlett, please contact her foster carer Alina on 0497077160 or at claudeshowie@hotmail.com. Scarlett is in Newcastle area, NSW.
Scarlett's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
