About Dexter
Sexy Dexy - Dexter
Not cat friendly
Needs a companion medium/large dogs
Any age children as a gentle fella
Part time or Fulltime workers
At just over 4 years of age, Dexter is a beautiful brindle boy, at around 30 kg's, he would be one of the most gentlest and easy going hounds to have around. He is so chilled out and will fit in with any new family!
Because of his nature, a new home with children of any age would be fine, although as with all dogs, supervision with very young children is important.
He would quite happily live with medium to large companions and in his foster homes has quite happily lived with other hounds. In saying this though, he would also be happy as an only dog as he can amuse himself and is very laid back. Loves to sleep (as we know most to all hounds do) but Dexter does not like cats, so a home without kitties is a must.
He loooves his toys! He will launch himself on them with a burst of energy on any unsuspecting one and will keep it a prisoner whilst he has a play and a chew. He makes you laugh with his antics and is just a funny boy.
He doesn't seemed too worried about other dogs on his daily walks, loves to sniff at different smells, may pull a little, but is easily corrected and walks well.
He would be able to live with people who either work Fulltime or Part time because of his ability to keep himself entertained. Just leave him with a vast collection of his favourite toys and he will be happy.
Dexter is just a lovely boy and is very eager to have a new home and family to love, he has the biggest heart and the family who is lucky to have Dexy will have so many years full of fun and happiness with this guy!
