About Tess
Tess is a quiet loving soul looking for a warm loving home to enjoy her senior years.
After weeks of being unwell, Tess has a new lease on life and is ready to spread her happiness and affection.
She is ready to jump in the car and on the end of the lead to go explore the world again, but will need an encouraging and supportive family as she can get a bit nervous at times.
Tess absolutely loves greeting new people in any situation, she’s always up for a kiss, cuddle and pat. So far she has been good meeting other dogs as well, and likes a calm approach. Tess is not so keen on cats, she finds them to be fascinating creatures and will stalk them. Even though she hasn't show any aggression towards cats, we feel she would be much more relaxed in a home without them.
Currently Tess sleeps outside in her bed at night time and while her foster carer is at work. She is not at all bothered by having to go outside and is capable of keeping herself entertained, causing no trouble for the day. When her foster carer comes home from work, Tess loves to chill out inside for a cuddle and to keep an eye on the goings on in the household. She is very well behaved inside being quiet, calm, obedient and toilet trained. If she needs to go outside, she will let you know by sitting at the door.
Tess is food driven, so will do anything you want her to do for a treat, and will act as your vacuum cleaner. She does need to work on not snatching her treat from your hand.
Tess can get scared and nervous around loud noises and sudden movements, but does not act aggressively, she only cowers away. So she will need some comforting to know everything is alright.
Tess will always give you a bit of a giggle in all her awkwardness and throwing around of her toys. But most of the time, Tess will give you plenty of love and attention in snuggles and following your every move.
Tess is looking for a forever family that can offer a safe and calm environment, and include her in their daily routines so she can make the most of her new healthy life.
