About Betty $99
It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Betty and I deserve a second chance.
I came into care after I was left to die in a rural pound with my three little babies. The pound was not equipped for cats and it was in a middle of a heat wave, with one weekend reaching 40 degree heat. The pound staff put out a cry for help for a rescue to save us. OTC saw us, fell in love and rushed us into care.
I am a sweet, gentle girl that just wants a quiet home to spend the rest of my days. I can be timid and still quite scared at times. I flinch a lot but I am slowly learning that my foster mumma loves me and won't let anyone hurt me or my babies. I would much prefer a quiet home but I do love gentle kids that are calm around me.
I am not a fan of dogs, but that could just be that I am still getting used to my new life. If you have dogs, we can always work on a slow introduction. I just want to be happy so I will do whatever it takes.
I like to do my own thing, and won't bother you too much at all. I just ask for a nice ear scratch a cuddle on the couch every night.
So, what do you think? If I am the lady of your dreams, apply for me today <3
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
