About Jerry
Handsome Jerry was rescued from a hoarding situation and started out in foster care as quite a scaredy. However he has turned a corner and decided that actually people are pretty great and has become quite social with his foster humans.
Though he was previously surrounded by other animals he has decided that he quite likes to be the only animal in his house - he can share if proper introductions are made but he is learning to be independent and relaxed in his own company and around humans.
Jerry is prone to stress induced UTIs so will need to be on an all wet food diet for life (raw is even better), and to have a family that can keep an eye on his toileting to make sure he isn't getting sick. Prevention does most of the job with this condition - wet food and a calm and predictable environment go a long way to keeping him healthy.
As you can see in the video Jerry is a playful sweetie, and while he might not be on track to win a Nobel Prize, he is more than pretty enough to make up for it.
Medical notes
Jerry has a history of UTIs generally brought on by stress. He will require an all wet food diet for life and for his family to get familiar with his toileting habits so they can notice right away if he is having a flare up. Prevention does most of the work for this condition. Wet food and a calm stress free home will keep him healthy.
