About Hazelmay
Hazelmay is such a lovely little chocolate brindle puppy. Tiny (the smallest in her litter she is under 2 kg at 8 weeks), but very confident and relaxed around all the other dogs, she is energetic and playful. For the last 2 weeks she has been quarantined away from the other puppies, but now she and her littermates are fully integrated with the rest of the doggy team and are doing great. Hazelmay is a social butterfly and gets on with everyone. She is confident with humans and loves to meet and greet new people. She loves a cuddle too but despite her size she is not a lap dog in nature. She will be an active dog, interested in exploring new environments. She is just interested in everything. She and her littermates have been a delight to care for - so cooperative and intelligent.
Hazelmay came into care with 2 of her littermates, after being surrendered to the local Animal Control Officer. She was born in Ampilatwatja, but is now in foster care with her littermates and a bunch of other dogs and puppies in Elliott NT. Like her littermates she is very small and we would be surprised if she were to grow bigger than 7-10 kg as a fully grown dog. Hazelmay is crated overnight with her littermates and sleeps through the night already - such a clever girl...
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Hazelmay's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Hazelmay is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
