About Flo
Introducing Flo available through Be The Change Animal Shelter Inc.
Flo is the larger one out of the two pictured here. Flow is a 5 year old Beagle.
Flo came from a puppy farm and had lived her life at the puppy farm until coming to BTC. She had minimal, extremely minimal contact with humans, no exposure to the world around her, no love or affection nor attention. Did not know a lead, collar, car, couch, kindness and therefore is a very scared, timid girl who has no confidence thanks to her puppy farmer who would have made some money from her but gave her very little in return.
Flo is starting right at stage one in her training, she has been getting some basic exposure to a collar and lead and has been taking some very small steps out the front door to view the world around her. She has also been taking some small car trips. She is slowly, very slowly gaining more confidence however she is still a very timid dog and will hide from strangers. She has not exhibited a bad bone in her body given her past she is just very, very scared. Ideally we would like to see Flo in a quiet home whereby she is the only dog or if with another dog an older, relaxed dog, but definately a quieter home. Flow is extremely withdrawn, you must remember she has lived her 6 years of life to date as a puppy farm breeding bitch and obviously been treated extremely badly due to her behaviour and lack of connection with humans and the world around her. Flows only purpose in life was to have continual litters for money to be made from her.
Flo will be rehomed on her own however we are looking for a highly appropriate home for her and we need to be sure that it is her forever home as we do not want her regressing at all. If you feel that you are up to this challenge and it will be a challenge then please pm the page. We must stress that we are looking for a home that recognises her for past and wishes to assist her into the future.
Flo's adoption fee is $350 and that includes her vet work, vaccination, microchip and flea and worm treatment.
