About Riley
Riley is a laid back boy who has shown to have a nice independent streak like most American bulldogs.
He loves to cuddle but he always loves to spend time alone. He's not too fussed with much, showing that he is both a sooky but determined stubborn when he wants to be.
Riley is in foster care with kids of various ages and two female dogs and has adjusted well to everyone around him. Including being both an indoors and outdoors boy and adapting to his foster parents working various hours of the day.
Riley would suit a home with another dog, one older and confident that can guide him in the right direction as he grows. But be would easily suit a home as an only dog if he was given enough adequate socialisation and training throughout his life.
Riley is going to be a big boy so his new home need to be expecting a large addition to the household and show confidence with handling his size and training needs. He will need to be allowed inside the house in his new home to be a true part of the household.
Safe and secure fencing is best suited for him of at least over 5ft for safety and security. He would suit rural fencing also as long as the correct training and obedience was given to make him understand the boundaries.
Riley hasn't met any cats or pocket pets so we can't comment on how he would go with these. With the correct introductions we think he would be fine. He would easily suit a home with kids as he does love the attention of the little ones but dog savvy ones are essential as he can sometimes be a little shy if unsure.
Riley is located in the Newcastle region and his adoption fee is $450.
